I have attended the Lyon County School district for the last four years and am pursuing band through high school. I am currently a sophomore at Lyon County High School in Eddyville, Ky. This is an incredible opportunity and life experience and I am excited to be able to go. I will be touring Europe with other students that have been nominated from the State of Kentucky. There will be an honor choir, orchestra and band.
We will be performing in each cities below, after which we will be given the opportunity to explore local landmarks.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]1. In England- Buckingham Palace, the Tower of London, and the Crown Jewel.
2. France- the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, and a boat ride on the River Seine.
3. Switzerland- the Castel of Chillan, Lake Geneva, and a day trip to the majestic Matterhorn.
4. Liechtenstein- the Rhine River and the capital village of Vaduz with the Royal Castel.
5. Austria- Innsbruck: Old Town, the Little Golden Roof, and Wilton Basilica.
6. Italy- a full days ride across the Brenner Pass to Uncia and the Grand Canal.
7. Germany- we will visit the historic Dachau or Munich and explore the ancient and romantic walled village of Rothenberg.
The Four days before the trip, there will be a rehearsal camp at Louisville University where all students and teachers will get together for the first time. After, that we will head to Cincinnati to board a plane and head off on our musical tour. We will be traveling in Europe from June 30-July 15 in 2020. The cost of the trip will be around $7,500. This includes airfare, hotel, travel arrangement and entry to the landmarks listed above and is due by November 15th 2019.
I look forward too many experiences and benefits on this trip. I will be meeting new people from across Kentucky as well as many people from other countries. Second, I would be able to explore and learn about the different lifestyles and culture people live in around Europe. I will also be able to share music to many different types of people and cultures. Finally, I would be able to gain college credit for the near future.
